There is still no structured process of exchange and cooperation that would ensure that experiences are passed on and cooperation is encouraged across disciplines. Due to its broad profile, the Leibniz Association also provides the basis for developing a general strategy paper to formulate recommendations for the development of career paths in the infrastructure sector.
The primary goal of the project is to develop a competency profile and a cooperative model in which Leibniz institutions work together with external partners to advance joint initiatives. The result should also be a general strategy paper. Special consideration should be given to the fact that scientific and science-supporting infrastructure tasks require specific knowledge that often cannot be acquired in relevant training or study programs (e.g., data protection, project management, application of scientific concepts, data management, archiving). Possible transfer effects in this area have not yet been considered, and the project is intended to provide initial ideas in this regard.
