Acting or Re-acting. Negotiating Local, National and Transnational Dimensions of Sustainability in Poland since the 1970s

Duration
2017 - 2020
The project explores the exchange and tensions between transnational and national debates on sustainability in Poland since the 1970s. The project attempts to analyze how actors from governments and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) participated in transnational debates on sustainability.
The research is based on the assumption that Poland was not isolated in terms of sustainability policy. Therefore, Poland contributed its own perspectives to the international debate and adopted and transformed transnational arguments, policies, and strategies on sustainability into its own context.
