Research

As an academic service facility for research, the Institute also runs its own agenda-related research in order to guarantee the quality of its academic services. The research of the Institute includes current projects on the editing of historical primary sources, planned handbooks and larger-scale academic works by individual employees and research groups.

• Open Access make research findings more visible to more people and this helps to accelerate the process of innovation. The Herder Institute promotes Open Access and has adopted an Open-Access-Policy.
• The Herder Institute is currently working on solutions that will allow relevant research data to be stored long-term and selected data to be accessible in appropriate repositories. Therefore it adopted a Research Data Policy.
