Board

The institute's day-to-day business is managed by an executive board consisting of the institute director as managing director (Prof. Dr. Peter Haslinger) and the institute's administrative director (Dr. Christian Schmidt), as well as two additional members who are appointed for a three-year term by the general meeting on the recommendation of the board of trustees.

Currently, these are Dr. Jürgen Warmbrunn, Deputy Director of the Institute and Head of the Research Library Department, and Prof. Dr. Monika Wingender, Slavicist and Managing Director of the Giessen Center for Eastern Europe at Justus Liebig University Giessen.
