Fellowships and Promoting Junior Researchers

Statement

The support of scientific projects and the academic communication and exchange are among the central concerns of the Herder Institute. Therefore, we provide senior and junior researchers with fellowships for a stay of up to three months in Marburg.

Furthermore, research visits to the institute can be supported by third-party funding like Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship, Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers or DAAD grants in general.

Leibniz Graduate School

The Leibniz Graduate School “History, Media, Knowledge in East Central Europe” offers a structured training and a lively exchange with researchers who are working on similar topics. The LSch provides a forum for young researchers to draw up academic theses.

Research Fellowships

Herder Institute provides Research Fellowships – for scholars from both East Central European countries and Western Europe – for a stay of up to three months in Marburg.
Two types of the fellowship are offered:
