Department "Digital Research and Information Infrastructures" at the Herder Institute

The “Digital Research and Information Infrastructures” department at the Herder Institute for Historical Research on East Central Europe – Institute of the Leibniz Association – works at the interface of research and infrastructure.


The tasks of the department include:

  • Supervising and further developing the Herder Institute’s IT infrastructure
  • Providing IT support for all departmental projects and project proposals
  • Providing advice and implementation of qualification opportunities
  • Building and operating digital research infrastructures
  • Integrating and upgrading existing online services
  • Tying together the activities of the Herder Institute in the area of Digital Humanities
