Biographical materials in contemporary history
The online database provided here contains short descriptions of selected personalities from the fields of politics, industry and commerce, science and the culture of East Central Europe. The basic materials - the so-called personal archive with around 200,000 dossiers - are part of the press cuttings archive which has around 5 million units. The database is under construction and currently contains Parts I-IV (A-Z = almost 17,000 persons) of biographical material relating to Poland, as well as almost 4,000 biograms on Estonia (A-Z).
