Retro-cataloguing in the research library of the Herder Institute

All library stocks should be able to be researched promptly after acquisition and at the same time be able to be accessible in both form and content through the electronic catalogue (OPAC) for research. To this end, the volumes acquired before 1984 and only listed on index cards must be retro-catalogued.

Biographical material of the press archive

Amongst other things, in its collection of cuttings, the press archive of the Herder Institute has over 200,000 dossiers in total on personalities in public life in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia (Czechoslovakia until 1992), as well as the Baltic States.
